Today I’d like to welcome a fellow writer, Kathy McKinsey. Welcome! What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
So many favorite verses. But this one makes me smile and gives me hope. Psalm 86:5: O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
What an encouraging verse. How does your faith and spirituality work in with your writing?
I always want to share the hope of the message that God is a loving Father, always watching for us to come back again when we turn away from him.
I love that. It’s a great reminder of His incredible love for us.
I see you have a Christmas book. It’s looks like fun. Do you have a favorite scene in your newest release?
In my Children’s book, Millie’s Christmas, I love the scene where the dog and the two cats go to check out the Christmas tree in the middle of the night and end up knocking down most of the ornaments.
That sounds like a fun book to read to my grandchildren. Apart from writing, what is your favorite creative outlet?
Besides crocheting and knitting, I love to make tactile drawings with braille symbols.
Sounds like you keep busy. What advice would you give to new authors?
This can’t be said enough. Try to write every day. Your writing improves, and, it keeps your motivation going for wanting to write.
Great thoughts.
